Congratulations, Josh Richard
Josh Richard, Columbia, KY, is one of 12 finalists in the Fox in the Morning Idol 2007, competition to set for Monday, February 5, 2007, at Mom's Music on Mellwood Avenue in Louisville, KY. With the title will come a Suzuki Reno and a $1,000 scholarship from Spalding University. Adair Countians can help Josh by voting online if Richard is one of the three finalists. Columbia Utilities receive required traning

Employees of Columbia Utilities Commission and City of Libertyspent 40 hours of intensive trainingand testing for Operator Qualification to be qualified for work in the natural gas department. This traning is a requirement of the United States Department of Transportation, and is designed for the safe operation of a natural gas system. The training took place the week of January 22- 26, 2007. It is required as needed with testing every year on some parts and every threeyears on other parts. The instructor for the course was Roger Wingate of Lexington, KY (standing in photo)and Kentucky Gas Assn. approved courses were used.Students pictured in photo, from left, are Ronnie, Greg and Jeff from the City of Libertyl from Columbia Utilities Commission wereChris Kerns, Wally Grant, Phillip Stotts, Steve Breeding, Steven Baaker and Jarmey Austin.
