In another lifetime in N.E. Indiana I was unaffectionately referred to as a "dumb honyock" long before I became a "Crusty Ole Fool.". Even tho' the city slickers who threw the term around so carelessly meant it as a pejorative, I wore it with a certain sense of pride - 'specially when I thought 'bout the times I had to get out dad's tractor to pull their sedans out of a ditch or snowbank!
