Joe D. to annouce plans on race for governor next week

A story updated at 10:36 Friday morning, January 19, 2007, at the CourierJournal.com says that Adair County native Jody Richards will announce next week whether he will be entering the Democratic Primary for the party's gubernatorial nomination.

The story is by Tom Loftus, entitled, "Richards to decide on gov race run next week."

There have been reports that the announcement would come in Bowling Green on Tuesday, January 23, 2006. When Richards announced in 2004, the venue was the Carroll Knicely Center on the campus of Western Kentucky University, but close Richards allies, including the Flowers Bros, PVA Willie M. Feese, JR, Ralph Roy Waggener and other Columbians near to the Speaker say they have not yet been told the time nor the whereabouts of the expected Richards announcement.
