Feedback: Happy about new Super Wal-Mart

Writer say land values will go up because of center

Editor, ColumbiaMagazine.com:

As a resident of Columbia for over forty years, I welcome new progress to this area with open arms. In the past myself and my family have had to drive a 40 mile round trip to purchase anything from small items to appliances, groceries and much more.

I know this must be true because I continually bump into my Columbia neighbors at the C- ville Wal-Mart Supercenter on a regular basis. A new Wal-Mart Super center here would not only serve Adair County but many sourrounding counties as well such as Edmonton, Russell etc. who have even fewer shopping opportunities than we currently have.

Yet Another positive aspect of the new "closer" Wal-Mart would be the savings in fuel, upkeep of a vehicle & time spent on the road that must be taken out of your day for each trip to a sourrounding town to go shopping.

Furthermore, the real estate values of the farming community out HWY 61 will be greatly increased.
