Obituary: Christine Morgan, 84, member Columbia Christian

A member of a distinguished Adair County family, Mrs. Morgan was a business owner who formerly operated Chris' Dress Shop in Columbia

Christine Morgan, 84, 408 Adair Avenue, Columbia, KY, died Tuesday, January 9, 2007, at 2:48pm, at Westlake Regional Hospital in Columbia, KY.

A graveside service will be Friday, January 12, 2007, at 12 noon at the Corbin Family Cemetery with James Herschel Corbin officiating, with burial to follow. Visitation will be at 11:00am CT, Friday, January 12, at Grissom Funeral Home, 200 Cambellsville ST, Columbia, KY.



She was a daughter of the late A.B. and Emma Triplett Corbin, a member of Columbia Christian Church, and a former business owner, operating Chris' Dress Shop in Columbia.

She was presided in death by her husband, Herschel Morgan, in 1976.

Survivors include the following:
  • One son and daughter-in-law: Bob and Darlene Turner, Columbia, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Robbie, Kevin, Shane, and Yvette Turner

  • Two step-grandchildren: Matt & Kelly Anderson

  • One brother: Jr. Corbin, Columbia, KY

  • Three sisters: Minnie Rubarts, Somerset, KY; Allie Hixson, Louisville, KY; and Celina Zink, Indiana

  • And several nieces and nephews
Grissom Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
