Obituary: Sharon May Padgett, 37

Mrs. Padgett attended White Oak Community Church. She was retired from Fruit of the Loom.

Sharon May Padgett, 37, 2274 South KY 55, Columbia, KY, passed away at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY, after an illness.

The funeral service will be Sunday, January 7, 2007, at 2:00pm CT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, with Rev. Davis Franklin the officiating clergy.



She is survived by her husband, Ricky Padgett, Columbia, KY, and by the following:
  • Her parents: Donald Wayne and Viola Franklin Jessie, Columbia, KY; her father: Robert Wayne Helms

  • Five children: Ricky Allen Franklin Padgett, Ashley May Franklin Padgett, Lesley Kay Franklin Padgett, Tiffany Lynn Franklin Padgett, Brittany Lee Franklin Padgett, all of Columbia, KY

  • One sister: Sheila Franklin and husband,Tony Franklin, Glens Fork, KY

  • One brother: Tommy Franklin and wife Ramona, Columbia, KY

  • One grandson: Ethan Allen Travis Dial, Columbia, KY

  • Step grandparents: Herman and Mattie Frances Jessie, Edmonton, KY

  • Seven nieces and nephews: Anthony Franklin, Joshua Franklin, Tonya Franklin, Amanda Hausdofer, Jeremy Franklin, and Jessie Franklin
Mrs. Padgett was a homemaker and was formerly employed by Fruit of the Loom. She attended the White Oak Community Church.

Interment will be in haven Hill Cemetery.

The family requests visitation after 5:00pm CT on Saturday, January 6, 2006, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation to the family for funeral expenses and may be left at the funeral home.
