Tiffany Hadley new community liason for The Center Former Adair Progress editor will represent The Center for Rural Development in its 18 western-most counties. Tiffany Hadley of Columbia joined The Center for Rural Development team on December 4, 2006, as their newest community liaison representing 18 counties, including Adair, in Southern and Eastern Kentucky. The new liaison is the daughter of Dwight C. and Carolyn Wright Hadley and is the granddaughter of Mary Edna Hadley, all of whom live in Columbia. She is also the granddaughter of the the late Ben Hadley and of the late Dolie and Hazel Wright, all of the Cundiff, or Melson Ridge, community. Hadley comes from a family which has long held leadership positions in Adair County public life. Grandfather Ben Hadley was magistrate for District 3 for many years, and her uncle, Terry Hadley, now represents District 7 as magistrate on Adair Fiscal Court. A graduate of Lindsey Wilson College Hadley completed 12 years of public school in Adair County, and is a graduate of Adair County High School. She attended Lindsey Wilson College where she earned a bachelor's degree in human services and mental health counseling. She also brings four years experience in media as she was previously the editor of The Adair Progress in Columbia. Hadley also served as an impact assistant with both Adanta and Intrust Healthcare where she worked directly with developmentally and emotionally-challenged children. 'This region is my home' "This region is my home," Hadley said. "I'm excited to work with an organization that provides tools to be more successful in business, improve public safety, increase arts and culture opportunities, and advance in leadership training." As a community liaison, Hadley will be a primary contact between The Center and local government officials, civic, community and business leaders and business interests in her region. She will also be responsible for promoting Center programs and services that will benefit the communities she represents. Included in Hadley's service area are these counties: Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Estill Garrard, Green, Jackson, Jessamine, Lincoln, Metcalfe, Monroe, Wayne, McCreary, Pulaski, Rockcastle, Russell, and Taylor Counties. She will join The Center's other two community liaisons in their efforts to better represent and see first-hand the needs of organization's 42-county service area.
