Senator McGaha to be at Jan. 16, 2007 Chamber meeting Adair native will discuss issues before the 2007 General Assembly. January meeting is at Chamber Building. Early reservations required for seats, optional luncheon Senator Vernie McGaha will be the guest speaker at the January 16, 2007, Columbia-Adair County Chamber of Commerce business meeting. Senator McGaha will be discussing issues before the 2007 Kentucky General Assembly. Sue Stivers, Executive Director of the The C-AC Chamber, says this will be a very important session. "Senator McGaha has been in office since 1997. He has seniority and is on some very important committees, including the ones for agriculture, education, appropriations and revenue, and the committee for veterans and military affairs," she said. "He has gotten a lot done for us. Every chamber member will want to know what Columbia and Adair County can expect from this session." The monthly business meetings are usually held at 11:45am CT, in Cranmer Dining Center on the campus of Lindsey Wilson College, but will be held in January at the Chamber building, 201 Burkesville ST, Columbia, KY. Because space is limited to about 60 people, the session is open only to Chamber Members and invited guests. The lunch will be catered, and Director Stivers encourages everyone to call Kathy Johnson at the Chamber to make reservations as soon as possible. The phone number is 270-384-6020.
