TODAY, Thurs., Dec. 14, 2006: A touch of fog

What's in Today? Yesterday I was surprised by a daily reader of CM, who asked, "What all is in TODAY"? Briefly, it's a starting place for morning readers. If you haven't done so before, why not click on ReadMore to see the complete feature, which is extensively updated each morning, with occasional edits throughout the day. -ED

TRAFFIC & DRIVING: Light court schedule should mean easier navigation, more accessible parking in downtown today. You're a bit safer from the danger of hitting a deer. Today, the Deparment of Fish & Wildlife reported the 2006 deer harvest at 951, up 10 from a year ago, but far short of the 1194 taken in the record harvest of 1194 in 2002. Still finishing some guardrail items. 2) KY 61 Mainline will not be totally complete until next spring, when the final surface course can be laid. 3) The new portion of KY61 just south of Columbia will possibly be open to traffic next week.
