Six Lindsey Wilson College women's soccer student-athletes earned national recognition for their play during the 2006 national championship season.

Lindsey Wilson senior midfielder Hishamar Falconer has been selected the 2006 Brine-NAIA Women's Soccer Player of the Year.

Blue Raider senior defender Rowena Alsanea joins Flaconer on the All-American first team.

A trio of Lindsey Wilson freshmen was selected as second team All Americans. Forward Kristen Pedersen, defender Yolanda Hamilton and midfielder Omolyn Davis were all named to the second team.

Freshman goalkeeper Lisbeth Skjodt was named third team All-American.

Falconer, a Kingston, Jamaica, native, was second on the team in points (38) and goals (16). She scored four game-winners during the season and one goal -- the game-tying goal in the national semifinal -- during the national tournament.

Falconer ends her career as the program's all-time leader in games played (99) and third in career points (129).

In addition to the national player of the year award, Falconer was also named the NAIA National Tournament's Most Valuable Player, the Mid-South Conference Player of the Year and named first team all NAIA Region XI.

Alsanea, a Huddersfield, England, native, led the Blue Raider defense that allowed a program-low nine goals this season.

Alsanea added three goals and three assists during her senior season.

Pedersen, a Vejle, Denmark, native, led the Blue Raiders in scoring this season. She amassed 24 goals and four assists on the season, including the game-winning goal in the national championship game.

Pedersen -- who was named to the national tournament's all-tournament team -- scored three goals and an assist during the national tournament.

Hamilton -- who scored a goal and assisted on another during the national tournament -- scored four goals and added eight assists on the season. The Kingston, Jamaica, native, was also selected to the all-tournament team.

Davis, a Kingston, Jamaica, native, scored nine goals and five assists during the tournament. She scored three game-winning goals during the season, including the decisive goal in the national semifinal against Martin Methodist (Tenn.) College.

She also scored the game-tying goal in the national final.

Skjodt, a Vejle, Denmark, native, allowed just nine goals during the season -- a program record.

Her 0.35 goals against average is a single season record. Skjodt was also named to the all-tournament team.

Lindsey Wilson finished the season 24-2-0 and won their second NAIA National Championship after defeating Azusa Pacific (Calif.) University 2-1 in four overtimes in the national championship match.
