Obituary: Lucille Burton, 75, Bearwallow UMC Lucille Burton, age 75, of 1919 Vester Road, Columbia, KY, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2006. For the past seven months, because of declining health, she made her home with her family in Edinburgh, IN. Visitation begins Sunday, December 3, 2006, after 2:00pm, CT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, kY. She was the daughter of the late Tim & Mary Jane Burton of Adair County, KY, She married Robert William Burton on December 13, 1947, and he preceded her in death on April 22, 1983. She is survived by the following:
She attended the Bearwallow United Methodist Church for many years and in latter years the Bloomington Chapel and Who So Ever Will Community Church in Edinburgh, IN. She worked for 19 years at Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville. Funeral services will be Monday, December 4, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. at the Bearwallow United Methodist Church. Clergy officiating will be Rev. Lewis Burton, Ricky Burton and Ralph Foster.Interment will be in the Bearwallow Cemetery. The family requests visitation Sunday from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. Memorials may take the form of a donation to the Bearwallow Cemetery Fund and may be left at the funeral home. Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
