Adair Health Departmet flu clinic is Monday, Oct. 16, 2006 A flu shot clinic will be conducted on Monday, October 16, 2006, at the Adair County Health Department from 8:00am to 3:00pm. The Health Department is located at 801 Westlake Drive in Columbia, KY. This year, shots will be given by appointment. To schedule an appointment, please call the Health Department at 384-2286, extension 0. The cost of the shot will be $22.00, and is covered by Medicare part B and Medicaid. Please bring your insurance cards with you to your appointment. The clinic is open to all adults, and as always, high-risk patients are especially encouraged to be vaccinated. High-risk patients include those 65 and over, persons with chronic illnesses such as asthma, diabetes, and heart disease, health-care workers, and caretakers and household contacts of high-risk patients. Additional clinics, including clinics for children, will be scheduled later as more vaccine becomes available.
