Vote in CNN poll and keep Kentucky ahead of the rest

Just for fun, you might want to visit this CNN.com link and vote for beautiful Kentucky: http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/2006/exploring.autumn/your.picks/

A picture of Cumberland Falls is leading a nationwide photo contest for the best fall colors. State tourism officials are encouraging everyone to vote for Kentucky to help retain the top spot.

Once people see the beauty of Kentucky, they will come explore our state and will likely keep coming back, said Tourism Commissioner Randy Fiveash. Kentucky is known for many things, but our states natural beauty is one of our strongest selling points. I encourage all Kentuckians to vote to keep Cumberland Falls in the top spot.

The photo contest is being sponsored by CNN.com. Voting takes place at: http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/2006/exploring.autumn/your.picks/. Cumberland Falls is competing against 19 other pictures from across the country. The Cumberland Falls photo is in the lower right hand corner. You vote by clicking on and dragging your choice into a top ten checklist on the page.

Cumberland Falls is the largest waterfall south of Niagara Falls and is home to the only Moonbow in the Western Hemisphere. Visitors can not only travel to see the falls in all its fall glory, they can also stay at Cumberland Falls State Resort Park and enjoy an extended visit to the falls. You can learn more about the falls, the park and other attractions at: http://parks.ky.gov/resortparks/cf/index.htm.

Kentuckians know we have some of the most beautiful state parks in the nation, said Parks Commissioner J.T. (Jerry) Miller. Now is our chance to show it off to the rest of the world. I hope everyone votes for Cumberland Falls.
