Obituary: Gary Eckert, 68, member Columbia United Methodist A retired machinist, Mr. Eckert was active in Columbia and Adair County civic affairs, a member of the Breeding VFD, and was a Director on the Board of the Adair County Food Bank Gary Eckert, 68, 825 Allen Sparks Road, Columbia, KY, (the Sparksville Community), passed away Sunday, September 24, 2006, at 9:24pm at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Grensburg, KY, after a long illness. The funeral service will be Wednesday, September 27, 2006, at 11:00am CT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, with Rev. David Alexander the officiating clergy. He was the son of the late Llewellyn and Helen Jones Eckert of Birdseye, IN. He is survived by the following:
Visitation will be after 5:30pm CT on Tuesday, September 26, 2006, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.
