Letter: Visitors find taste of southern hospitality in Columbia, KY

We really got a taste of southern hospitality when we visited Columbia, KY on 8/13/2006. We were looking for our Great Uncle John Henry Franklin's gravesite.

We went to the courthouse and we were sent to the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home where we met Richard Phelps. He went out of his way to help us.

He sent us to the library where we met Lee Ann Jessee. She was so nice and helpful. She found the information we needed and called Mr. Phelps and he helped us find the grave of our great uncle.

He also took us to meet our cousin Don Franklin from Columbia. It really made our hearts feel good to experience such kindness given us by Richard and Lee Ann.

Columbia must be an awesome place to live.

God Bless You All,

Thanks Sue, for a wonderful letter affirming Columbia as an "awesome" place to live. It truly is.
