Two car accident in Russell County results in injury to driver

Pickups meet in curve. One crosses centerline and strikes other

David Tucker, 38, Russell Springs, KY, was treated and released at Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY, following a two car accident on KY 1383, two miles east of Eli, KY.Tucker was not wearing a seatbelt.

The accident occurred at 7:59pm CT, Friday, September 1, 2006.



Tucker was traveling north of KY 1383 in a 1991 Chevy pickup. Joseph Hamilton, 42, Bardstown, KY, was traveling south in a 2003 Ford Pickup on the same road. Both vehicles met in a curve, when according to Kentucky State Police, the Tucker car crossed the center line and struck the Hamilton vehicle.

Joseph Hamilton was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.

Three passengers in the Hamilton vehicle, Ruby Hamilton, 36; Dalton Dant, 12, and Brandon Hamilton, 15, all of Bardstown, KY, were wearing seatbelts and were not injured.

David Tucker was cited for DUI by Trooper Jeremy Johnson, Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY, who investigated the incident.
