Breeding Fire Department dues drive is on The Breeding Area Volunteer Fire Department, which serves the most southern part of Adair County, is requesting that fire dues for the year beginning July 1, 2006, and running through June 30, 2007, are now due. The rates for the BAVFD are $25 per individual deed, with additional deeds owned by the same person are $15 per deed. A Breeding Fire Department member noted that the BAVFD charges for multiple deeds is lower than the rate for additional deeds served by the Adair County VFD, which charges $25 for each deed, regardless of number. If a fire call is made to a non-subscriber's property, the charge is steep: $500 for each call. Terry Harvey is Chief of the Breeding Area Fire Department. Dues may be paid by mail with checks made payable to: Breeding Area Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 5, Breeding, KY 42715. This story was posted on 2006-08-03 17:11:58
