LETTER: Grandfather served with Lt. Warren Shipp of Adair CO.

Writer wonders if any readers have more knowledge of Adair County WWII hero which might help with reasearch on relative

I have been researching my grandfather's service in WW2 i know that he had worked on the plane that Lt. Shipp was the pilot, i have pictures of the the plane "Jackpot" serial # 42-24797. Lt. Shipp is also in some of the pictures. I have inherited a photo album with all sorts of pictures from Tinian Island, and have been doing all sorts of reseach for my family on my grandfather's service. My grandfather was Walter Lloyd Lewis of Sullivan, IN. If you have any other info on this plane or the crew and ground crew we would greatly appreciated any help. -SCOTT MARTIN. scmart@aol.com
Thanks. Maybe a reader can help. If you can send some of the photos with Lt. Shipp and your grandfather, we'll post them and see if that gets added interest.
