Saturday, July 1, 2006: Start 10:30am to 11:00am CT. Annual Harvey and Loy Reunion. Wheet Fellowship Hall, next to Columbia Church of the Nazarene, 1200 Jamestown ST (KY 55) Columbia, KY. Saturday, July 1, 2006: For Canadian Adair Countians, today is Canada Day

Saturday, July 1, 2006: 12:00noon CT till? The Second Amnual Holler Day Festivities for Gradyville Neighbors and Invited Friends will be held at the David and Glenn Waltz Farm, 980 G. Taylor Road, Colulmbia, KY. (Gradyville Community). The hosts are the Waltz and Fluhr families. Meat and drinks will be provided. Neighbors should bring a covered dish and folding chairs. There will be music and games. Phone 270-387-5536 or 270-378-4433. Directions from Columbia: take KY 80 west towards Edmonton, turn right at 5 mile marker at G. Taylor Road and bear left at the fork and go to the end of the road.

Monday, July 3, 2006, at 6 pm. Regular monthly meeting of the Adair County Genealogical Society will be at the Adair County Public Library. All members and interested persons are encouraged to attend. Contact Lila Ford at Curry's Floor Covering or Ernestine Bennett at the Adair County Library to join or to buy subscriptions to The Adair County Review.

Monday, July 3, 2006: The Adair County Meat Goat Association meets this evening at 6:00 p.m. Baa Land Farm Feeds on Jones Chapel Road hosts the meetings of the Adair County Meat Goat Association, whose regular monthly meetings are held on the first Monday, starting at 6:00 p.m. Open to members and parties interested in becoming a part of the Adair County goat industry.

Tuesday, July 4, 2006: Independence Day.

July 4, 2006: Big day in Campbellsville-Taylor County. They have one of the largest community celebrations in the state, complete with parade, downtown festival, car show on the Campbellsville University campus, and much more. And this year, it has a special meaning. The July 4th Board is using this also as a community celebration of Campbellsville University's Centennial in 2006-2007 as you know. Dr. Carter, and former presidents Winters and Davenport will be the Grand Marshalls along with other CU presence in the parade and celebration.

Tuesday, July 4, 2006 7:00pm CT, Family Fun Games, first event of the 2006 Adair County Fair and Horse Show. At dark, a huge fireworks display will celebrate the 4th of July. Adair County Fairgrounds, Fairground ST, Columbia, KY

Friday, July 7, 2006. Weekend Revival starts at Cornerstone Freewill Baptist Church on Hwy 1729, with Bro. Lonzo Wiggington from Indianapolis, IN, as evangelist.Services will begin each night at 6:30 on Friday night July 7, and continue Sunday night, July 9, 2006. The pastor, Bro. Vernon Luttrell, and the congregation invite everyone to attend.

Monday, July 10, 2006, and runs through the 14th. A reminder to all families of students who are enrolled in Col. Wm. Casey's Summer Fun Camp--sponsored by the Family Resource Center and Camp Casey. Camp begins Monday, July 10th and runs through the 14th. Please have students at Col. Wm. Casey by 9:00am CT each day for a fun-filled week of drama, puppetry, music video production and more. Students will need to be picked up at Casey each afternoon at 2:00 pm. Should anyone have any questions, they may contact Ms. Dana @ 634-0215 or Ms. Paula @ 384-9752.

Monday, July 10, 2006, at Special Time of 5:30pm CT. Country Quilters Quilt Guild Annual Picnic..This second Monday meeting will be our annual potluck picnic at the State Park on KY 55, South of Columbia. Drinks will be furnished by the Guild. We also would like to invite anyone interested in learning to construct a quilt from choosing the pattern and fabric to finishing the project to come join us at our regular meetings. Beginners to advanced quilters are welcome. The guild regularly meets the second Monday night of each month at 6pm in the basement of the Columbia-Adair Chamber building on Burksville St. For further information, you may call Kathy Jones, 384-3366. -REBECCA GRANT

Trinity Life Center across from Betty's OK County Cooking on Highway 55 North, the Campbellsville RD. All the money will be deposited into a special account set up to purchase a van. Saturday, July 15, 2006: The Green River Animal Shelter will be open to the public Saturday, July 15, 2006, 11:00 a.m to 3:00pm CT, for an open house that will include tours of the facility and a chance to meet the shelter residents and staff. The shelter is located behind the Adair County Youth Development Center at 455 Jim Blair Road. Manager Jeff Thomas says, "Everyone is invited to join us Saturday. This event is free and open to the public."

The Adair County High School Class of 1971 will be holding their 35th reunion on Saturday, July 22, 2006, at Swan's Landing near Campbellsville, KY, beginning at 5:30pm CT. They would like to invite the Classes of 1970 and 1972 to join them for an evening of fun and music. Sunday, July 30, 2006 (started Saturday, July 29, 2006): The CKTS (Central Kentucky Tennis Series) will be holding a tennis tournament on July 29 and 30 in Columbia Kentucky. The tournament will be played at Lindsey Wilson College, the Columbia Fairgrounds and the Adair County High School. Registration will be via the internet at www.ckts.org or by calling Tim Perkins at 270-384-6690.

Monday, July 31, 2006 There will be a special called meeting of the CWC Site-Based Council on Monday, July 31, at 5:00pm CT.
