Drug arrests made at Best Western Motel by CPD

Officers from the Columbia Police Department made two drug related arrests after responding to the Best Western motel to check on the welfare of a female. Arrested were 35-year-old Jeannette Stearns of Russell County and 25-year-old John Corbett of New York.


Stearns was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of controlled substance third degree and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Corbett was charged with possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both were lodged in the Adair County Jail.

The arrests were made by Columbia Police officers Brad Scholl and Kevin Atwood.
