New business, NBFS, to sponsor Golf Scramble

New Beginnings Family Services, a new business in Columbia, is reaching out to the community. NBFS is a therapeutic foster care agency that places foster children in Christian homes and they are announcing a First Annual Golf Scramble that will be held on Friday, September 8, 2006 at Pinewood Country Club in Columbia.

The cost is $50 per player with proceeds going to benefit their children and families in Adair and surrounding counties. Sponsorship opportunities exist through hole sponsorhips which can be purchased for $100.00 per hole.

"This is a major step for NBFS in our pursuit to become play an increasingly significant role in the wellbeing of foster children," says Charles Dixon, Jr., director of Development. "We hope this will become our signature event in the Columbia area and would like everyone to support our agency and our children. Even if you are not a golfer, there are opportunities for you to make a difference."
