The Emily Griffitt Anderson Murder Case: Update July 22, 2006 John Deere Loader remains impounded as evidence, newspaper says Jerry Anderson's John Deere Loader, impounded as evidence in the Emily Griffitt Anderson murder case remains in state custody, a story by Joshua Harris in the Lenoir, NC, News-Topic on Wednesday, July 19, 2006 reports. A company financing the machine had sought to repossess it. Anderson is charged with first degree murder of his wife, Emily Griffitt Anderson, who grew up in Columbia, KY, and was a recent resident of Cane Valley, KY. Emily Anderson was reported missing by her husband on December 29, 2005, from their Sawmills, NC, home. Her truck was found in early January in a Waffle House parking lot in Duncan, SC. Her body was discovered in the toolbox of her truck. In February, 2006, Jerry Anderson was indicted for her murder.
