Feedback: Mr.Lepiarczyk commends Greg Burton on story Suggests participating in DNA testing to confirm if they descendants of Thomas Burton of Cobbs This is a wonderful story that Cousin Greg has shared wih us. Thomas Burton of Cobbs may be the ancestor of many Adair County Burtons. I think it would be wonderful if appropriate descendants of Thomas Burton would participate in DNA testing to confirm their genealogical heritage. My Burton ancestral lineage inlcudes: I. William Burton (ca. 1761-ca. 1814) II. Arthur Burton (1794-1855) III. James Madison Burton (1818-1897) IV. Chrisley Burton (1853-1939) V. Effie Burton Grider (1896-1987) VI. Katherine Louise Grider Lepiarczyk VII. Erwin Heinrich Lepiarczyk II William is probably the son of James Burton and Sarah Stovall Burton. James is the son of James and Judith Burton. James (the elder) is the son of John Burton and the former Elizabeth Fowler. John is the son of Thomas Burton and the former Susannah Hatcher. Anyone who is interested in the genealogy of the Burton family, please email me. E.H. Lepiarczyk sir_erwin@yahoo.com This story was posted on 2006-07-20 12:10:56
