One day left to donate items for James Vaughn benefit sale

Huge garage sale is scheduled Saturday, July 15, 2006 at 8:00am at Trinity Life Center across from Betty's OK Country Cooking on KY 55, the Campbellsville RD, Columbia, KY. Enthusiasm, items for sale grow in James Vaughn benefit sale

"The Garage Sale for James Vaughn at the Trinity Life Center is going to be big. We have a large assortment of clothes from Hilfilger for teenagers to church clothes for ladies," Barbara Shepherd, on of the events organizers, reported this morning.

The sale will raise the $12,000 to buy a special van for a wonderful little boy whose life can be so much fuller when he has special transportation he needs.

She said other items include mens clothes, ladies shoes and handbags. VCR, TV, radio, dishes, drapes, comforter sets, magazine rack and wreaths.

"Anyone wishing to donate items or make a monetary contribution to this worthwhile cause call still contact us today. All money raised will go into a special fund to purchase a handicap van. Let's all pull together and try to help this child in need," Barbara Shepherd said.

The donations of items for the sale is going great. Anything that is not sold that day will directly be sent to another charity. All the money will be deposited into a special account set up to purchase a van.

Anyone wishing to donate items or money may contact Peggy Lawson 384-3229 or 384-4501, Tracy Lewis 384-8846 or Barbara Shepherd 384-5163.
