Detective Moses arrests Lebanon men for credit card fraud

Two are charged with one count of felony misuse of State of Kentucky card

On Monday, July 10, 2006, two employees of the Department of Transportation Highway Department were arrested after a joint investigation by the Kentucky State Police and the Department of Transportation.

Kentucky State Police Detective Donnnie Moser charged John Wesley Lee, 25, and Michael Eric Maupin, 30, both of Lebanon, KY, with one count each of Felony Fraudulent Use of a credit card.

Both Lee and Maupin are accused of using a State issued gas credit card to purchase fuel for their personal vehicles.

These arrests stem from an investigation into the misuse of Kentucky's Fleet One (TM) credit card, which is used by Kentucky state employees to purchase gas for state owned vehicles.

More charges are expected as the investigation continues.
