Small inmate overpowers 3 guards, flees St. Marys prison Captured: Update 8:20am, CT, Monday, July 10, 2006 Jeffrey Hinkle was apprehended by the Kentucky State Police after Trooper Scott Brown of Kentucky State Police Post 15 spotted him jogging on KY 55 near Airport Road in Washington County, KY. Hinkle was apprehended without incident and lodged in the Marion County Jail, Lebanon, KY, on charges of escape 1st and assault 3rd. 130 lb., 5'6" Jeffrey James Hinkle, persistent felony offender, serving time at Marion CO Prison for property crimes, makes escape Sunday afternoon, July 9, 2006, at 4:00pm ET Photo accompanies this story Facility where incident occurred is approximately 30 miles north of Coburg, Adair CO, Ky Trooper John Adams of Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY, is investigating an escape fromt he Marion COunty Adjustment cent in St. Mary's, KY. At approximately 4:00pm ET, Sunday, July 10, 2006, Jeffrey James Hinkle assaulted three guards at the adjustment center and then fled the grounds. HInkle is described as a 36-year-old black male, 5'6", 130 pounds, with long, partially braided black hair, brown eyes, and amedium complexion. Hinkle has tattoo of panther on his chest He has a tattoo of a panther on his chest and two small scars on his forehead. He was last seen wearing gray shorts and a shite sleeveless t-shirt with unknown numerals on the back in blue lettering. Hinkle has a long history of burglary, robbery, theft, and other property related crimes. He was serving a sentence from Jefferson County for burglary, receiving stolen property, and being a persistent felony offender.
