Obituary: Margaret Hansel, 82, member of Body of Christ Ministries

Mrs. Hansel leaves a large family, with 39 living descendents

Margaret Hansel, 82, 725 Mitchell Street, Columbia, KY, passed away suddenly Thursday, July 6, 2006 at 8:26 PM at the Flint River Community Hospital in Montezuma, GA.

The funeral service will be Monday, July 10, 2006, at 1:00pm CT, at Stotts-Phelps McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Boyce Smith and Sister Phyllis Miller the officiating clergy.


She was the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin and Maude Peters Hall of Oak Ridge, TN.

Survived by her husband, L.C. Hansel of Columbia, KY, and the following:
  • Two sons: William Hansel of Columbia, KY, and David Hansel and wife Phyllis, also of Columbia, KY

  • Four daughters: Pat Krauter and husband Tony, Kathleen, GA; Geraldine Otterson and husband Jimmy SR, Columbia, KY; Linda Prochniak, Richmond, KY; and Frances Brennan and husband Billy, Milwaukee, WI:
  • Three brothers: Howard Hall of Kansas City, KS; Burrell Hall of Burnswick, GA; and Arthur Lee Hall of Oak Ridge, TN

  • Four Sisters: Sue Bell of Orlando, FL; Marie Baker of Brunswick, GA: Violet Kimberly of Orlando, FL; and Jackie Arndt of Oak Ridge, TN

  • And 13 Grandchildren, 1 step grandchild and 20 great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Jent, in 1969, and by one sister, Bobbie Thompson.

Mrs. Hansel was a member of the Body of Christ Ministries in Richmond, KY, and a homemaker.

The family requests visitation after 3:00pm CT on Sunday, July 9, 2006, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.Interment will be in the Haven Hill Cemetery.
