City, school board, SD candidates have 32 more days to file Candidates for city office, school board, and soil conservation district offices in the Tuesday, November 7, 2006, Adair County General Election have until 4:00pm, Tuesday, August 8, 2006, to file any petition, certificate, or paper. The deadline also applies to those qualified to run in other offices as independents. The filings may be made at the office of Adair County Court Clerk Ann Melton.
