Obituary: James Russell Miller, 79, US Army veteran of WWII Mr. Miller was employed by Ford Motor Company in Cincinnati, OH for 36 years. He was a Mason and a member of the Norwood Lodge, Norwood, OH James Russell Miller, 79 years of 83 Sierra Court, Batavia, OH, formerly of Adair County, Kentucky passed away Thursday, June 22, 2006 at the Anderson Mercy Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio after a long illness. The funeral service Sunday, June 25, 2006 at 2:00pm CT, at Stotts-Phelps- McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, with Rev. George Hancock the officiating clergy. He was the son of the late Lester and Rosa Cooper Miller of Adair Co. Mr. Miller is survived by the following:
He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters: Glen Dale Miller, William Howard Miller, Bannie Lee Giles, Verna Lou Giles, and Ada Pauline Miller Broyles. Mr. Miller was a World War II US Army veteran, a life member of VFW Post 7496, a member of Norwood Masonic Lodge, Norwood, Ohio He was employed by Ford Motor Company in Cincinnati for 36 years. The family request visitation after 4:30p.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2006, at Stotts-Phelps McQueary Funeral Home. Masonic rites will be held Saturday, June 24, 2006, at 7:00pm CT, at the funeral home. Military rites will be held at the graveside by Columbia VFW Post 6097. Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in charge of funeral arrangements.
