REMEMBERING REX COFFEY: His family came first To see collected letters remembering Rex Coffey, including this one, Click here. 'I never told you how much I cherished your friendship. That was my mistake.' Rex Coffey was a wonderful person. That's all there is to it. No matter what was going on with him, he was always the same Rex. If things were going well or not, if the weather was cold or hot, every time I met up with him he was the same person. He was always quick with a smile, a joke and a laugh. We were talking one day in the new building, I told him that he has quite the setup. He told me this was a life-long dream come true. I asked, "The dealership?" He said, "No. Look, there's my wife, my son, and my daughter, a family business." Rex and Tammy were always the first people to contribute items for WAIN's Mother's and Father's Days give-aways. The last time I spoke with Rex was Friday at the Relay for Life. We discussed their recent trip to Mexico, some plans for a bike rider alley and my South America mission work. Rex asked me what I needed. I told him and he told me to come by the dealership on Monday or Tuesday and he would get me what I needed. That was Rex, always looking to help others. Rex, I never told you how much I cherished your friendship. That was my mistake. I will certainly miss you. Because He Lives!
