May 5, 2006, 5-7 p.m. CDT: Knifley Grade Center Spring Festival May 5th 5-7 central time. Come enjoy grilled hamburgers, hot dogs and all the fixings, inflatable slide and obstacle course, games for the kids, and share your grand stories of Knifley Grade Center. All food and activities will be provided free of charge courtesy of the Knifley Parent-Teacher Organization. We hope to see you there!

RESCHEDULED: Regular meeting which was set for Monday, May 8, 2006, has been changed to Monday, May 15, 2006: The Adair County Library Board Regular Monthly Meeting: 12:05 noon at the library, 307 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY. The board meets each second Monday at the library, at 12:05 noon.

Tuesday, May 9, 2006, the City of Columbia Planning & Zoning Commission will hold a regular meeting at 5:00 p.m. in City Hall to consider a zone change for a lot at the corner of Burkesville ST and Bomar Heights. The meeting is open to the public.

This is a show with a touch of the beach and island atmosphere, so we invite you to dress in your shorts and tropical shirts, bring the whole family out and have a great time. Admission $6 adults, children 12 and under $4.00.

Tuesday, May 16, 2006, 4:00 p.m.: Columbia Utilities Commission holds regular monthly meeting in CUC board room. The meeting is being held even though it is election day, according to Jim Williams, General Manager of Columbia Utilities Commission. "None of us are running for office," he said.

Wednesday, May 17, 2006. Groundbreaking, Huddle House., Campbellsville, KY, at noon, Eastern or Fast. Mr. and Mrs. Gaylon Yarberry and Branscum Construction CO will host ceremonies for new restaurant on a site on North KY 210.

Thursday, May 18, 2006: Adair County Board of Education. Regular monthly meeting is each third Thursday. Open to the public. Meets in Board Conference Room. Restrooms on diferent floor.

Monday, May 22, 2006. Meeting Notice. Adair County School District Finance Corporation
There will be a special meeting of the Adair County School District Finance Corporation on Monday, May 22, 2006 at 12pm. The meeting will be held in the Adair County Board Conference Room. The purpose of the meeting is to approve offer for purchase of right of way for new bypass.

Tuesday, May 23, 2006, at 5:00 p.m. Adair Justice Center Project Development Board (PDB) will hold its regular May meeting in the basement of the Adair County Annex Building, on the Square, Columbia, KY. The meeting is open to the public. Report on negotiations with property owners had been expected, but is not on agenda.

Thursday, May 25, 2006 at 7pm. Board meeting. The Board of Directors of the Columbia City Cemetery meets in the Madison Square Office Building, across from the Columbia United Methodist Church on Burkesville ST for one of two semi-annual meetings which are held in May and November each year.

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, May 24, 25 & 26, 2006. Tabernacle Christian Church, 13197 Liberty Road, Columbia, Ky will be having Vacation Bible School May 24 - 26, 2006beginning at 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Central Time, nightly.Classes will be for children ages infants - teens.
