After Detective Donnie Moses detected something awry, "Deputy Sheriff" Wayne Hardin was lodged the Marion County Detention Center in Lebanon, KY. Hardin was arrested today, Wednesday May 24, 2006 at 1:30pm Easter Time, for impersonating an officer. Kentucky State Police narrative follows: On May 17, Detective Donnie Moses was assisting officers with the Drug Task Force in Marion County. A subject approached Detective Moses' vehicle and identified himself as Deptuy Wayne Hardin with the Marion County Sheriff's Department. Detective Moses at that time identified himself as a detective with the Kentucky State Police, at which time the subject returned to his vehicle and left. Detective Moses later determined that Wayne Hardin was in fact not a law enforcement officer with any agency. Warrants were obtained. Harold Wayne Hardin, 35, Bloomfield, KY, was arrested in the limits of Lebanon at 1330 hours for impersonating a police officer and was lodged in the Marion County Detention Center.
