William E. (Bill) Cooley, 73, member Columbia Masonic Lodge 96

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at 1 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home for William E. (Bill) Cooley, 73, who passed away Sunday morning.

Bill retired after 32 years with the Kentucky Department of Transportation and was a member Columbia Masonic Lodge 96. He attended the Columbia First Church of the Nazarene.


He was a son of the late Elbert and Rebecca Brockman Cooley of Adair County.

Survivors include:
  • His wife, Eva Doris Green Cooley, of Columbia

  • Two brothers, Calvin Cooley of Columbia, and Guinn Cooley of Litchfield

  • Several nieces and nephews including a special little niece, Destiny Kinnett.
He was preceded in death by a son, Phillip Edward Cooley, two sisters, Irene Heikamp and Mary Cooley, and a nephew, Ricky Cooley.

Bro. Jim Goff, Bro. Scott Ezell and Bro. Kendell Green will officiate at the Tuesday afternoon service with burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Visitation is after 2 p.m. on Monday at Grissom Funeral Home.
