Rick Wilson asks for your vote for the office of Coroner
in the May 16, 2006 Adair County Democratic Primary election

Rick Wilson is a life long resident of this county. He and his wife Sandra, will celebrate their 20th anniversary in June. They have one daughter, Kacy Corbin Wilson, a freshmen at Adair County High.Rick is a 1979 graduate of Adair County High School and a 1990 graduate of the Hardin Memorial Hospital Paramedic Training Program. He is a 1991 graduate of the Kentucky Coroner Basic Training Program and he received his Advanced Coroner Degree in 1998 and his Master Coroner Degree in 2004.

He is a family man and a professional person who takes pride in doing any job to the best of his ability. He has 14 years of experience with the Coroner's office, having served as deputy coroner from 1991 to 1993. In the fall of 1993, he was elected Coroner of Adair County. At the end of this year he will have completed three terms in office. He has been employed with the Adair County Ambulance Service for 26 years. He is an EMT-Paramedic and also serves as Assistant Manager. He works 2 days a week as a Certified Pharmacy Technician at Columbia Pharmacy.Having medical experience has helped him determine the cause, manner and circumstances concerning a death. Since 1994, Rick and his deputies have conducted over 500 death investigations. He has served many families of Adair County with compassionate and caring hearts. He never wants tragedy to happen but when it does happen he and his deputies treat families with the same respect and concern that they would want for their own families. He is qualified to be Coroner because of his experience with the Coroner's office and successful completion of the State Coroner's Training course. In 2004, he organized a Child Fatality Review Team whose purpose is to review deaths of children and attempt to determine trends of child deaths. The goal is to develop ideas to help prevent child fatalities.

To the voters, Rick Wilson says: "My experience as Coroner and working in the medical profession has allowed me to develop a great working relationship with the medical community, local law enforcement, other emergency agencies and area funeral homes.

"I am running for re-election to the coroner's office because with my experience I can help families in a difficult time in their life. My goal for the coroner's office would be to continue to provide compassionate and competent care during times of need. My deputies and I will conduct death investigations that are fair and accurate. If you re-elect me as your Adair County Coroner my office will serve your family with respect and dignity.

I have always thought the best way to get elected and re-elected is to ask people personally. So, I'm traveling the county and trying to see as many people as possible. If I miss you, I respectfully ask you to vote for me in the May 16th Democrat primary.

Thank you very much."

Rick Wilson,
Adair County Coroner
