Columbian arrested at scene of pharmacy burglary this a.m.

Arrest in connection with a recent string of pharmacy burglaries in KSP Post 15 area. State Police, several area law enforcement units, HIDTA participate in action
A Columbia man was arrested in Burkesville early this morning at Morgan's Medicines Pharmacy and charged with with theft of a controlled substance and burglary, 3rd.

The incident took place at 2:18 a.m., this morning, Wednesday, May 3, 2006.


Jason Collins, 30, Columbia, KY, was arrested and lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail in Columbia, KY.

Officers from the Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY, and the HIDTA (High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area), Russell Springs Police Department, Burkesville Police Department, and the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office took part in the arrest.

The arrest is in connection with a recent string of pharmacy burglaries in the Kentucky State Police Post 15 area.

Other arrests are expected.
