Bull Run Road man arrested; Check finds he's wanted in Metcalfe

Action takes place on Sunday, April 30, 2006. Investigation of officers at KSP Post 15, Columbia, KY, continues. More chargers are expected.
A wanted suspect was located in Columbia, KY, and arrested by three-man team

After receiving an unrelated complaint on Omar Lopez, Troopers checked the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) and discovered that he was wanted for assault on a police officer in Metcalfe CO, KY.

Officer's entered Lopez' home on Bull Run Road on Sunday, April 30, 2006, and took him into custody without incident.


Lopez was arrested on warrants for assault 3rd, alcohol intoxication, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct. He was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail with no bond. More charges are expected as the investigation continues.

Trooper David Gibbs was assisted in the arrest by Trooper Wendell Higginbotham and Sergeant Ken Hill of Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY, investigated the accident.
