Hunt on for 3 escapees from Monroe Jail, Tompkinsville, KY

Escape site approximately 33 highway miles from Adair County. Trio of white males fled earlier today, Saturday, April 29, 2006
Three inmates from the Monroe County Jail, Tompkinsville, KY, escaped earlier today, Saturday, April 29, 2006.Trooper Maxwell of Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY, describes the escapees as follows:


  • William J. Adams:White male, age 29, 5'9" tall, 190 pounds, brown hair and blue eyes with numerous tattoos. He was serving time for burglary.

  • Jeffery W. King: White male, age 29, 5'11" tall, 176 pounds, brown hair and blue eyes. Tattoo on right leg. Was serving time for traffic violations and possession of marijuana.

  • Shawn A. Strong: White male, age 20, 5'10" tall with brown hair and green eyes. Ws serving time for receiving stolen property and burglary.
