Toddler treated and released after being hit by car which was backing up

A two year old Springfield pedestrian was treated and released at Springview Hospital in Lebanon after being hit by a vehicle which was backing up in a private driveway.

The child, Allyson C. Russell, was knocked down by the car, but not run over.


The accident occurred at 12:45 p.m, Saturday, April 1, 2006, three miles east of Springfield on Jimtown Road.

Melissa L. Russell, 30, Springfield was driving a 2002 Toyota Camry. She was not injured.and was not belted.

The accident was investigated by Trooper Jonathan Boyd of Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY.
