Motorcycle rider is ejected from bike, slides under car; airlifted to UK

Involves 2006 Honda Motorcycle, 1999 Camry, Mustang
A motorcycle rider was airlifted to UK Medical Center after losing control of his 2006 Honda motorcycle, being ejected from the bike, and sliding under a vehicle.

The motorcycle was struck by a third vehicle, a red Mustang which did not stop.


It all happened Monday afternoon at 4:35 p.m. (1635 hrs), March 27, 2006.

The accident occurred on US 127, 3.4 miles south of Jamestown, KY.

Ricky W. Antle, 46, Alpha, KY, was operating a 2006 Honda motorcycle. He was traveling south on US 127 and went into a side skid before coming to a final rest facing north.

During the collision, the operator was ejected from the motorcycle and slid beneath the front of a 1999 Toyota Camry operated by Karen K. Dyson, 48, Jamestown, KY.

After the rider was ejected, the motorcycle was struck by a red Mustang, which did not stop.

Ricky W. Antle was airlifted to UK Medical Center, Lexington. He was wearing a helmet.

The driver of the Camry was belted and was not injured.

The accident was investigated by Kentucky State Police Trooper D. Holder, KSP Post 15, Columbia, KY.
