Project Graduation gets underway at first meeting tonight

By Ellen Zornes

Project Graduation will hold its first organizational meeting Tuesday, March 14, at the Adair County High School library at 6:30 p.m. Persons interested in helping with this event are welcome to attend. Project Graduation is an annual event held to honor our high school graduates. This is the seventeenth year that juniors, seniors, and their invited guest will enjoy a safe, alcohol/drug free Project Graduation party following graduation.

Graduation is currently scheduled for Friday, May 12. This event signifies the end of an era in these graduates' lives and is the last time for many of them to be together before embarking on their post high school lives.

This memorable and entertaining event would not be possible without the collaborative efforts of community members, businesses, parents and educators. This special event sends a clear message to our students that we are proud of their hard work and accomplishments and that we care about their safety.

Anyone interested in assisting with this event is asked to attend this meeting or contact Brenda Mann 384-5545 or Susan Breeding 384-3718 after 4:30 p.m. or Ellen Zornes anytime at 384-3400 or 250-3400.

As always, we appreciate all our community does for our kids!
