Lindsey Wilson Cheerleaders earn honors at Mid-South Conference

COLUMBIA, KY - Lindsey Wilson College cheerleaders were recently honored by the Mid-South Conference for their efforts in the colleges cheerleading squad.


The following six students were named to the MSC All-Academic Cheerleading Team: Shaunna Turner, an education sophomore from Adair County, Erin Williams, a human services and counseling sophomore from Russell County, Carlon Woodall, a mathematics secondary education senior from Daviess County, Meagan Lorenzen, a psychology junior from Muhlenberg County, Elizabeth Phillips, an education junior from Logan County and Tamera Scull, an education junior from Daviess County.

The following two students were named to the MSC All-Conference Team: Meagan Lorenzen, a psychology junior from Muhlenberg County and Derek Johnson, a biology freshman from Logan County.

Cheerleaders named to the MSC All-Academic Team must have a sophomore standing or higher and have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale. Cheerleaders named to the MSC All-Conference Team are selected by Mid-South Conference cheerleading coaches.

Columbian named to Mid-America Conference All-Academic Cheerleading Team



2006-03-13 - Columbia, KY - Photo courtesy Turner Family Collection. Shaunna Turner, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Turner, is one of six Lindsey Wilson College students, and the only one from Adair County, who were named to the Mid-America Conference All Academic Cheerleading Team. Miss Turner will be an elementary teacher following graduation from Lindsey. She is a 2004 graduate of Adair County High School. Shaunna will be 21 later this month. She is the youngest of three children. Her older brothers are Mike and Tim Turner, both of Columbia, KY.
