Cancer Awareness Classic Banquet raises money, awareness for cancer

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College and Campbellsville University baseball teams joined forces on Friday, February 24, to host the second-annual Cancer Awareness Classic banquet.


The banquet, held at Lindsey Wilson's Roberta D. Cranmer Dining & Conference Center, raised money for the Cancer Awareness Society and awareness about cancer.

A total of 10 NAIA baseball teams and their guests attended the banquet.
The keynote speaker was Kentucky state director of Fellowship of Christian Athletes Keith Madison, who is also the former University of Kentucky baseball coach.

Raising Cancer Awareness: Coach Mike Talley

RAISING AWARENESS- Lindsey Wilson College baseball coach Mike Talley welcomes the crowd to the Cancer Awareness Classic banquet. "Everyone in some way is or has been affected by cancer," Talley said. "Our primary goal is to let the athletes know what cancer can do and that it does not have to be a hopeless situation."
