Dennis (Wayne) Fudge, 69, Columbia, KY (1954-2024)

Dennis "Wayne" Fudge of Columbia passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. He was 69 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 2pmCT on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY, with Bro. Bobby Withers officiating. Burial will follow in the Harrods Fork Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Wednesday after 10amCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.


He was born in Adair County on December 13, 1954, to the late Eldin Fudge and Mary Corbin Gowen. He was also preceded in death by a grandson Blake Fudge.

Wayne formerly attended the Sparksville Church of the Nazarene, was a long-time employee of Dollar General Store and a retired farmer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He had a heart of gold and loved his family more than anything. He loved people and never met a stranger, he always had a smile on his face that was contagious, and he was always there to help anyone in need. He will be greatly missed by all those who were blessed to know him.

Survivors include a daughter Lisa Burton (Chris); a son Dustin Fudge (Fiancee Angela McVay); five grandchildren Conner, Kyler, Kendyl, and Kamdyn Burton and River Fudge; two sisters Lois Richards (Randy) and Sue Pelston; two very special nephews Thomas and Travis Richards; his girlfriend Ethel Bevell, her children BJ Janes, Joey Janes, and Timothy Janes, and her grandchildren whom he loved as his own Jozlyn and Ashton Janes; and many other friends and relatives.

Pallbearers will be Conner Burton, Kyler Burton, Kamdyn Burton, Thomas Richards, Joey Janes, and Timothy Janes.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
