Stevie Joe York, 64, Columbia, KY (1959-2024) Stevie Joe York of Columbia passed away on Friday, September 27, 2024, at his residence. He was 64 years old. Funeral services will be held at 2pmCT on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY, with Bro. Don Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the White Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, October 4, 2024, from 4pmCT until 8pmCT, and will continue Saturday morning until time for the service at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. He was born in Cumberland County, KY on October 8, 1959, to the late Donell Louis York and Shirley Garmon Oliver. Mr. York was a member of the United House of Prayer Church. He enjoyed serving at church, watching University of Kentucky Basketball, being outdoors and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include his wife Marcella Holmes York of Columbia, KY; four children Stephanie Brewer and Louis York (Bridgette) both of Columbia, KY and Dean White (Mary Lee) and Megan Wright (Thomas) both of Lebanon, KY; seven grandchildren Samuel Brewer, Zachary Brewer, Emma York, Dani York, Molly York, Abigail White and Brooklyn White; two stepsisters Lisa Young (Doug) and Teresa Morgan (Steve) both of Owensboro, KY. Pallbearers will be Sam Brewer, Zach Brewer, David Thomas, Timmy York, Jonny McInteer, and Chandler Staton. Honorary pallbearers will be Red Holmes, Julius Holmes, Carson Holmes, Timmy Piper, David Perkins, and Ricky Prewitt. Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
