Letter: note and donation to Shoebox writer

Elizabeth Glasgow writes to Carol Perkins:
(in care of Columbia Magazine where her articles appear weekly)
Dear Carol,

I am the granddaughter of Shirley and Frances Glasgow - long time residents of Milltown in Adair County.

Through this connection, I found Columbia Magazine and have enjoyed interesting articles and tidbits of local interest for many years, even since they have both passed on.

My grandmother spoke often of doing Christmas Shoeboxes through the Columbia United Methodist Church. Seeing your recent article about being contacted by a sister of a recipient of one of your boxes brought me a smile and a fond memory of my time in Milltown.

Please accept the enclosed contribution to this year's boxes and thanks for sharing on Columbia Magazine! Best, Elizabeth

Elizabeth, thank you for being part of the Columbia Magazine family and writing! We will deliver your donation to Carol personally. I went to church with your grandparents and am happy to have a chance to remember them. - LW
