CPD: Shoplifting call leads to meth arrest By Officer Adam Cravens, PIO Columbia Police Department The Columbia Police Department responded to Walmart on Friday evening, June 7, 2024, initially for report of a shoplifter. Upon making contact with subject, female was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine and paraphernalia. Kayla Oakes, 30, of Columbia, has been charged with shoplifting as well as possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine. Officer Trent Williams was the arresting Officer.
