Equine Obstacle Course on Saturday

From Terry Matejowec

The Back Country Horsemen of KY is hosting an Obstacle Course Challenge on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Green River State Park across the street from the Quiet Woods Green River Stables, 592 Robin Rd., Campbellsville, KY. Sign up and practice is from 10amET until NoonET on Satuday, and the competition will begin at 1pmET. Admission is $10, and will cover practice time and one entry.

This will be a judged event with a very simply point value applied. A time limit of 10 minutes per ride will be followed. There will be payouts for the top riders but the main focus is to have fun and challenge yourself.

After the competition, you can ride the beautiful trails in our very own Green River State Park. We hope to see you there.

The Back Country Horsemen of KY are also having their Annual Meeting with a pot luck dinner on Saturday night, with Riding at Green River State Park all weekend. The weather looks like it's going to be perfect on Saturday. Bring the kids and their ponies, horses or mules. You can saddle up at the trail head and ride down.
