Thomas Dewaine Baker, 63, Burkesville, KY

Thomas Dewaine Baker of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, having attained the age of 63 years, 10 months, and 11 days.

He was born in Glasgow, Kentucky on Sunday, July 3, 1960, the son of Elvin “Alec” & Sue (Myers) Baker. Mr. Baker was of the Christian faith, and was a member at the Burkesville Church of Christ. He worked for the Cumberland County Hospital and Burkesville Medical Supplies, volunteered with the Cumberland County Rescue Squad, and enjoyed gardening.


In addition to his Father, he is preceded in death by his mother-in-law, and father-in-law, Cordell & Mabel (Coop) Sells.

He is survived by his mother, Sue (Myers) Baker, wife Deborah “Debbie” (Sells) Baker whom he wed on Saturday, October 20, 1990, son, Colton Stuart Baker, twin sister, Tylia (& Jim) Stodghill, all of Burkesville, sister, Tammy Love of Glasgow, Kentucky, brother, Todd (& Robin) Baker of Summershade, Kentucky, and brother-in-law, Doug (& Carol Ann) Sells of Burkesville.

The funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, May 19th, 2024 at 1pmCT in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, Kentucky, with Bro. David Eldridge officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday beginning at 3. Burial will be in the Baker Family Cemetery in Burkesville, Kentucky.
