Annette Dunn Leake, 65, Hodgenville, KY (1959-2024) On the morning of Friday, May 10, 2024, Annette Dunn Leake passed away peacefully after losing her battle to cancer in Hodgenville. She was 65 years old. Funeral services will be held at 7pmET on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home, 208 W. Water St., Hodgenville, KY, with Rev. Shannon McCubbins officiating. As Annette has requested, cremation follows the service. Visitation begins at 11amET on Thursday at the funeral home. Annette is survived by her fiance Javier Arries of Adair Co; a sister Lynnie Allen of Hodgenville; three daughters, Angel (Josh) French of Hodgenville, Stacey (Douglas) Hert of Munfordville and Chastity Marcum of Adair Co., and a son, Darrell Locke of Hodgenville. Annette followed her faith while attending Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. She was always full of life and a free spirit. Annette was known for loving her children and her 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. The grandchildren she leaves behind are Benjamin (Elly) Locke of Hodgenville, Isaiah (Shelby) Locke of Germany, Laurel Locke (Nick Kling) of Lexington, Phillip (Kelsey) French of Elizabethtown, Alexandria French of Hodgenville, Tristen (Bridgette) Locke of Georgia, Ricky Locke of Hawaii, Jeremiah Marcum of Hodgenville and Douglas, Charles and Rylee Hert of Hodgenville. Her great-grandchildren left behind are Taelynn Locke of Germany and Rowan Locke of Hodgenville. She valued her family time with her sister and children in the last months of her life and cherished those as some of the most valuable time she was able to experience. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions toward funeral and medical expenses and may be made at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home.
