Garfield Gibson, 85, Metcalfe County, KY (1938-2024)

William Garfield Gibson, 85, of Edmonton Kentucky, passed away, Thursday, May 9, 2024, at TJ Samson Community Hospital, in Glasgow. Garfield enjoyed woodworking, mowing yards, and tinkering with a variety of different things in his shop.

Garfield was born August 11, 1938, to the late Hatfield and Melissa "Head" Gibson. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Jo Ann Gibson, his brothers, Audrey Gibson, Welby Gibson, James Gibson, Rowe Gibson, Jewell Gibson, and Carl Gibson, his sisters, Drucella Thompson, Inis Gibson, and Ethel Fields.

Survivors include, his son, Rick Gibson (Charlene), his grandchildren, Richard Gibson, Stephanie Goodall (Andrew), his great grandchildren, Mylei Gibson, Nickolas Gibson, Lilly Goodall, his very special nieces, Penny Riddle and Cathy Nunn, and several more nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Garfield will be held at 1pmCT Monday, May 13, 2024, at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 on Sunday, May 12, 2024, at the funeral home and after 8 on Monday until time for the service.
